Trump: Foreign Interests ‘Decimating’ US
NewsMax ^ | April 1, 2011 | Hiram Reisner

Billionaire mogul Donald Trump warns China and OPEC are “decimating” the U.S. economy — respectively taking the nation’s jobs and holding oil prices hostage — and America needs to quickly counter the trends, before the United States becomes totally beholden to hostile foreign interests. The presumptive 2012 presidential candidate also says the U.S. tax code must be reformed, so jobs can return to America.

"China is taking our jobs . . . and we have to do something about it — and we have to do something about it quickly,” Trump said, in part two of an interview with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly, which aired Thursday night. “They are decimating our country just as OPEC is decimating our country with their oil prices.”

Trump said the United States needs to threaten to impose heavy taxes on Chinese products, to force the communist giant to stop manipulating its currency.

“It’s very tough for our companies to compete with Chinese companies because very simply they manipulate their currency — they’re professionals at it,” he said, adding the solution is a 25 percent levy on their goods.

Man this guy is hitting with both barrels. I'm not sure what his agenda really is, but got to love what he's been saying lately.

Okay off to pop more popcorn......

In what I have seen overseas over the years, America seems to be overly concerned with the interests of other nations moreso than our own interests.

I could give dozens of examples but is there really a point anymore.

He needs to put energy independence on a WAR FOOTING!

Any and all attempts by any person, organization, or AGENCY to in anyway delay, hinder, or block the effort should be considered TREASON in time of war.

If the US doesn't remember how to do nuclear power, ask the Canadians. They've been building CANDU plants instead of picking their noses like the US.

As a last resort, ask the FRENCH. 90% of their power is nuclear generated.

The 9.5 earthquake in Japan is tragic, but it is obscenely ridiculous to think of it as a common occurrence, or reason to stop building nukes.

He fully supported TARP, the Obama stimulus and he defended Obama in all of 2009. Trump supported most of Obama’s initiatives in 2009 (like the stimulus) when Obama’s popularity was still good, when Democrats had 60 in the Senate, and when Obama had (arguably) a weak fast fading mandate. He only bailed when the polls went South.

If Trumps ‘simple sounding easy’ solutions were so viable, either Bush or Obama would have tried them. Maybe it's the national debt, maybe it's the coming inflation, or maybe they knew a trade war wouldnt help us, but he makes it sound like there is nothing to it, he reminds me of Bill O Reilly.

Democrats/liberals absolutely hate China (they are too business friendly) and it's not like Trump is some pure patriot, he is just another corporate prostitute who will say anything.

I did like his idea of sending South Korea a bill for our military support, but the other ideas dont sound quite right.

I agree 100%.

This is why RIGHT NOW we should immediately implement the Steve Forbes flat income tax plan and do a four-year transition process that will essentially end the income tax and replace it with something akin to FairTax (H.R. 25/S. 13).

America seems to be overly concerned with the interests of other nations more so than our own interests.

George Soros and the CFR, i.e. contrived diversions from the furtive agendas at home; denial of an illegal invasion from Mexico a prime example, denial of in-house energy resources another, and Libya rationalization another.

How many times has "conspiracy" been vilified on FR; but who are the naive or ignorant ones now?

My sentiments exactly. This guy knows what the public is thinking right now and is finally expressing what most people have been thinking and feeling for YEARS.

Collectives and collectivists inside the U.S.A. are more than ripping apart the foundations of “free” people, Donald. From entitlements to NGO’s to GE selective tax breaks, etc., etc. and everything in-between the socialists and their collectives have their tentacles in our testicles.

Defund all collectives foreign and domestic. “Free” people will reach their full potential w/o socialists and their schemes.

I never liked Donald Trump, but he is not afraid to state the facts and does not tip-toe around things like all the politicians, especially those who try to appeal to everyone - like Rino Romney and Huckabuck.

I think Trump is so far ahead of the rest of the pubbies. He has double lapped the field. If Sarah doesn’t run I will support him. He did not get where he is by being stupid. He grabbed on to the birther issue while the rest of the pubbies felt like Mclame, it was like using 0 middle name. Like rhe barracuda, he is not afraid to tackle any issue. He may be shilling for Hil, but I think he is serious. As0 drags down the Hated american economy, the elgibility issue must become more importsnt/ We shold just take over ME oil. as well as our own oil. When Aramco came to The Kingdom, the King carried the whole treasury in the trunk of his car, for pities sake.

I’ve always found him to be oddly interesting and charasmatic, but a jerk at the same time.

Quite possibly he’s the right man at the right time...

In MARCH 2009...Trump was against Obama’s agenda. I think your assessment is wrong.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gj88Q-_wDM

He wasn’t defending Obama in March of ‘09.

Trump needs to refine the expose on "OPEC “decimating” the U.S. economy ". . .having suggested the OIC should financially cover the Libya effort - not realizing that
Libya used a New York branch to get 73 loans from the U.S. Federal Reserve in the 18 months after Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. collapsed.- April 1st Bloomberg link
Does anyone believe these loans will be repaid? The entire fiasco exploding in the Middle East and North Africa has been carefully orchestrated and quite likely bought and paid for by Obama NWO & company.

I can’t see Trump shilling for anyone but himself.

It’s possible his good friend Hillary basically said “go for it Donald - I’ve shot my chances at the office by being associated with Obama, so I give you my blessing to run.

Let me give you some of the info we had dug up on him back in ‘08...”

I just hope Trump sticks with his promise to go no further than the GOP primary. This is sounding very Ross Perot-like, meaning he would make a pretty effective spoiler in the fall.
