Thanks, Donald: Herman Cain is a birther now
Salon ^ | 03/31/2011 | Alex Pareene

Herman Cain, former pizza magnate and current gag candidate for president, doesn't seem to understand that the reason Donald Trump's sudden ardent birtherism attracted so much attention was mostly because it involved television star and longtime celebrity Donald Trump, and not "the guy who used to run a pizza chain that was less popular than Little Caesar's." So Cain's going birther, too.

In an interview with a conservative Florida blog, Cain said Trump wasn't "off base," and added that although Cain himself had not given the matter much thought, he decided Obama should "prove he was born in the United States."

(The president has proved that, already. But Cain hasn't "studied enough to have a view one way or the other" on the matter of reality versus feverish make-believe, so who can blame him?)

Herman Cain Goes Birther: Obama Must ‘Prove He Was Born In The United States’

http://thinkprogress.org/2011/03/31/herman-cain-birther/

INTERVIEWER: What do you think of [Trump’s] lead? Do you think he’s off base with asking the president to supply his birth certificate?

CAIN: No, he’s not off base. Just like the people who have been challenging his place of birth for the last couple of years. It’s just not an issue that I have studied enough to have a view one way or the other. … I respect people that believe he should prove his citizenship. He should prove he was born in the United States of America.

From this point on anyone who while even saying Osama was borne here but still needs to release his birth cert. just to quite the birthers, will be labeled a birther, then tarred and feathered by the media...

Especially if they stand a chance of costing Osama reelection. As Cain very well could.

“He should prove he was born in the United States of America.”

He should prove he is a natural born citizen.

I call for an immediate “POP QUIZ” for ALL possible presidential candidates, especially those that currently or previously have held an elected office.

He says Cain is a “gag candidate”?
Speaking as someone who could be bought off with a Godfather’s Pizza, I resent that, sir!

correction:/p>

I call for an immediate “POP QUIZ” on the "United States Constitution" for ALL possible presidential candidates, especially those that currently or previously have held an elected office.

Kudos to Herman Cain for showing some leadership

One of the few GOPers to not run from the Obama Eligibility issue. Cain sounds like someone willing to lead....not be led by

I can overlook Cain’s support for the Bank Bailout if he is willing to show some leadership regarding Obama Eligibility. His chances to win the nomination and the White House have just risen greatly

Good try, but this is not a new position for Herman. He said this on his show many times over the past few years.

I do give Trump kudos for using his celebrity to bring this important issue to the spotlight.

Boy, I’m glad that the never-equalled intellects gracing the halls of Salon have shown me the brilliance of their analysis. Who’da thought such insight could come from folks who ... well...did something in college.

now we can ask Zero the questions,

if you can produce your long-form BC, why have you blatently wasted so much of the taxpayer’s money in legal fees to avoid producing the document? why do you feel the taxpayer has to forfeit millions for the priviledge of viewing this document? can any criminal laws be applied to such a malicious refusal?

I too fear Herman Cain's plea. I fear that the Messiah's performance in the White House will sour the people on good candidates for such high office who happen to be black.

You are the instruments that God is going to use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn't care anything about. That's a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking."

I hope not. It's a bad road to go down for a presidential candidate. And I'm a Birther.

Donald Trump is and always will be all about what’s best for Donald Trump.

He’s a huckster, a side show barker and he’s got a history of picking public fights for publicity to prove it.

Ask yourself: prior to his latest foray into politics, what and who did Trump support?

Trump is being exposed with his new belief and not put down. Does any one else find that strange?

I can’t figure out what his aim is cuz I don’t think he wants to be president. He must really have a good reason something is really got him bugged no matter what happens to our country he is not affected personally. Or maybe he really does care, just maybe he does. As for me, I’m liking him. A lot
