(Reuters) - As Libyan rebels fled in headlong retreat from the superior arms and tactics of Muammar Gaddafi’s troops on Wednesday, U.S. officials said President Barack Obama had signed a secret order authorizing covert support for the rebels.

Obama signed the order, known as a presidential “finding,” within the last two or three weeks, according to four U.S. government sources familiar with the matter.
Such findings are a principal form of presidential directive used to authorize secret operations by the CIA. This is a necessary legal step before such action can take place but does not mean that it will.
White house did put out notice of denial that they are supporting the Rebels. Not that that’s the truth..just sayng they deny this....
A lot of dis-information happening these days....hard to keep up with what is true or just propaganda. Lots of reports they are doing this though....I suspect at least boots on the ground organzing the rebels now and targeting airstrikes as well.
It was only a few days ago there was noted a difference in how the rebels were conducting their attacks against Gaddafi....some saying that’s because there are active military toops with them now, imbedded, besides those from the rebels assiting them now.
I don’t think Obama would have gone into this without knowing very early we’d have to have some troops there, just to line up the air attacks...but how many and where now is another story...I did read there were over 1,000 there, but then agin could be propoganda to makee Gaddafi wonder.
