Though President Obama has repeatedly said that there will be no U.S. ground troop presence in Libya, and though Secretary of Defense Robert Gates has also made it clear there will be no American ground troops there “as long as I am in this job,” one Army general said that the U.S. may consider that option nonetheless.
CBS news: The United States may consider sending troops into Libya with a possible international ground force that could aid the rebels, according to the general who led the military mission until NATO took over. Army Gen. Carter Ham also told lawmakers Thursday that added American participation would not be ideal, and ground troops could erode the international coalition and make it more difficult to get Arab support for operations in Libya.

And we should have believed Obama? The simple fact is most of us have been expecting it, just a matter of when, not if.
Saudi Arabia is tightening relations with Russia and China, the communist party of Iraq is moving itself into the politics of the region to be in a greater position when the troops finally (if ever) are pulled out…and now we may have troops going into Libya.
Remember yesterday a man in Holland appears to have torched himself in protest over matters, just as one man in Tunisa set this whole mess in the middle east on fire.
Anyone wish to guess the next move?

Russian billionaire Alexander Mashkevich announced yesterday that he plans to create a Jewish version of al-Jazeera to combat the "negative information about Israel" emanating from similar networks and the international media on a whole. "The most important thing is to represent Israel on an international level, with real information," Mashkevich said, stressing that the station would not deal in propaganda but report accurately on events in Israel.
Machkevitch said he and unnamed partners are already in the early stages of developing the venture and that their plan is to establish a network with editorial direction independent of any government or special interest. He said that he is considering a multi-language and multimedia format that could include Arabic and Farsi programming. According to the billionaire, his Jewish roots, as well as the fact that he was raised and worked among Muslims, has motivated him to look for ways to bridge the divide between the two peoples.
Machkevitch's news channel is an interesting idea and, if done right, can greatly benefit Israel. While Israel's defense capabilities are lauded as one of the best in modern times, for years the Jewish state has been losing the battle on another front: the battlefield of the mind, where ideas, words, and images are the weapons of choice.
Today the media in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and the Middle East frequently depicts Israel as colonialist or apartheid state, waging a "war of imperialism" against the Palestinians. Israel is commonly cast as an oppressor rather than a victim defending its citizens from terror and forces that seek its destruction.
By reporting "real information" on an international level, such as Israel's assistance in Japan, which has received little coverage, Machkevitch's channel would be a breath of fresh air and could work towards transforming that negative image of Israel so often provided. There's reportedly already a lot of interest in the channel and, according to Machkevitch, the only thing missing is a name.
The mind is always the ultimate battlefield. Use it. DON’T abuse it.

But using my best non-dismissive manners, I will say the first half of this article rang true to most of what I have read on this subject. The second portion, for me, seemed to be more on the line of speculation. It is clear that there is much vagueness to Obama’s history, but I doubt that he wandered or fell into much of it, leading to where he is today.
It is this vagueness that drives us all to speculate and every grand idea is fair game because he continues to do nothing to lend credibility to his past. It’s so absurd!
Obama’s ground troops—now there’s something no one would have thought him capable of as recently as 2008!
The Israel international news network would be good. I hope that comes to pass.

Trump is correct, Barry Soetoro, AKA Obama is hiding something in his past that is very bad... and it may not be his citizenship. (Trump would not say this if he did not know something and he has the money to get the dirt...)
As an IRS tax examiner,one of many former federal jobs, I have seen what it appears Barry Soetoro has done, mostly by illegal aliens attempting to acquire a new identity in the U.S and/or criminals looking to acquire a new ID.
Barry, AKA Obama, was lawfully adopted by a foreign national, Lolo Soetoro, and Barry’s name was legally changed to “Barry Soetoro”. (Barry’s own admission) Barry Soetoro was also made an official legal Indonesian citizen. (again Barry’s own admission) The adoption would be noted in Barry’s vital statistics record in Hawaii on his original birth certificate...
OR Lolo Soetoro may have always been Barry’s legal birth farther. The public does not know for sure at this point who Barry’s father really was and Barry himself may not know.
Barry was raised as a Muslim in Indonesia and attended a Catholic funded school that permitted all faiths to attend.

The answer is because Russia only has Sunni enemies. We, thanks to Carter's bungling and the Shah having been one of "our b*stards" during the Cold War, have both Sunni and Shi'ite enemies. I think Putin and Medvedev miscalculate in thinking they can use Iran as a pawn in a balance-of-power game (the way weaker of great powers always looks out for their interests) because I think they underestimate the seriousness with which the Iranian theocracy takes their Ta'ajili (Hastener) version of Shia Islam, but I understand their calculation.

Mestamachine advised me. I had not seen it but sloppy or otherwise it raises questions, even speculative, which require answers which we have been avoiding for no apparent good reason other than we were being blocked by Obama and his attorneys and naive enablers.
It may all be all smoke and no fire but..... it may not.
