Listen as a citizen exercising his 2nd amendment right to legally bear arms was violently assaulted by Philadelphia Police with no cause.
In Pennsylvania carrying a gun is not reasonable suspicion of a crime and not justification for a stop and search or a detainment.

He could have been shot, given these cops' attitude.
Several people on opencarry.org are saying that the person this happened to should contact an attorney. I agree with that.
Remember, this audio/video is starting to get some exposure. A large number of Philadelphia police will be watching and listening to it. They have access to this persons name and a considerable amount of personal information.
As they say, they know where he lives. He definitely needs to contact an attorney.
I hope these thugs aren’t the best and the brightest that Philly has to offer. It makes it kind of hard to feel pround of cops when this kind of behavior is in the news.
There is a second part of audio - link right below the screen for part 1. Listening.
Unless there is a camera rolling, open carry is all a cop needs to shoot you with impunity. He just claims the citizen pointed the gun at him. The only penalty is paid suspension while the shooting is "under investigation."

story at link may be over this incident
The audio is definitely disturbing. On the other hand, I can’t help but wonder how he “just happened” to be recording it all. I don’t know a whole lot of folks that just idly wander around town with a voice activated recorder for the heck of it.
What I get from this is that the cop screwed up primarily by not knowing the law (and the apparent attempt to manufacture evidence). There is no way he should have had to call the DA’s office in a situation like this. Beyond that....there’s still part of the picture that’s missing for me.
1. Officer is paid by the city to carry a firearm
2. Officer does not know the laws he’s paid to enforce
3. City did not exercise good hiring judgement
4. A tort was committed, and this victim now owns the city, or a fraction thereof.
The second amendment is crystal clear. Every law abiding american citizen has the absolute right to own and carry any firearm, anytime, anywhere, anyway they choose.
Ya think? Every week there's some retard with a gun dragging his knuckles and bullying the citizenry. Every week.
Certainly there has to be some kind of policeman review board that is looking around Wisconsin, Ohio, etc and are beginning to see the taxpayers are waking up to the police scam.
Union thugs, all of them ,until the few come out and do the right thing. You know, like we ask the "good Moslems" to come out and say the right thing. Ain't gonna happen in either case. They'll protect the bad apples because all the apples eventually go bad. Lies of omission are still lies on the ears of God.
On all the open carry supportive websites , they advise you to get a recorder for your own safety, to record incidents just like this one.
Battery, Kidnapping.
I’m shocked they didn’t delete the evidence.
I’ve been robbed ONE time in my life, and it was by COPS —took the cash from my wallet.
Sounds like a lie, huh?
“This officer obviously needs further training. “
No, this “officer” needs to be arrested and get crap beat out of him by the county constitutional sheriff you elected. You need a constitutional sheriff to protect yourself from pig fascist cops.
This isn’t rocket science: cops are pigs who obey orders from their Marxist masters. The elected sheriff listens to the voters via the ballot box and is the only proper peace officer for a free people.
ping for later
I strongly recommend that if you wish to open carry or concealed carry in a place where there is the *possibility* of “ignorant agitation” about it, it really helps to be proactive.
How to do this? Easy, if there is a neighborhood where you expect to hang out, print out a few single page “pamphlets”, and pass them out to local store managers. To let them know the law in as friendly a manner as possible.
This is called “insulating” them. Why? Because typically you will be visiting, and some “ignorant agitator” will notice your gun. The first thing they typically do is approach the store manager or employees.
If they do this, then the situation is defused. “Oh, it’s okay. It’s legal here, and I *know* him. Relax.”
And the same thing applies to policemen. Most of them have big gaps in what they are supposed to know about the law. So if you get the chance to chit-chat with them, and find out they are ignorant of gun laws, if you want to have a hassle-free time of it, you need to “insulate” the whole police department.
This is not hard at all. If you see a police sergeant or lieutenant, let them know that there seems to be a little “confusion” about current gun laws about open and concealed carry, so it would be a good idea to provide a little “refresher” information, to make sure all the officers are “on the same sheet of music”.
Again, you’re not in their face about it, but let the officer know that you are a legal gun carrier, and you want to avoid surprising anyone, who may not be up on “current changes”.
Let me paraphrase for you: “Gee, Mr Policeman, did you know I have a Constitutional right to carry a firearm, sir, just like you?”
Have you ever heard of the “Porcupine 411” organization? If you carry, or have ever had misgivings about police over-reach you should check them out. They offer the facility to “instantly” record your cellphone conversation providing a record of events.
Such records routinely disprove the allegations of arresting police officers who (for whatever reason) choose to submit reports that diverge from the truth.
As someone beaten by cops (at age 16), no it doesn't sound like a lie at all...
I know.. He was very brave.. Especially when the cop told him to do it or he will (bleeping) shoot him.. Cops have a tough job and I’ve always defended them, but there seems to be a lot of ignorant, hothead, cowardice cops around now.. Wonder if this officer has shot any innocent canines.. That going around, too.
