And to think there are some FReepers (and you know who you are) who actually think toppling Gaddafi is a GOOD thing in Libya. “Oh, the Libya uprising is purely a desire from freedom,” I’ve been told. “We’ll just get the new government to assure us they’ll abide by Libya’s 1952 constitution (from the air, of course).”

I guess for some, the learning takes a bit longer.

Yep, those are the same people who were supporting the freedom fighters in Egypt. Oh, that Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaida are fighters, aren't’ they? Viva Freedom! They want to be just like us.

Really though, it has nothing to do with learning. It has more to do with shaping a narrative that fits, er exonerates, their future candidates.
