If we’re lucky the Saudis will be able to contain this. Otherwise the Iranians will have defacto rule of Bahrain and the 5th Fleet will be looking for a new home.
The Saudis (sunni) are not our friend. I want the Saudi and Shia to resume their 1400 year old war, we get the hell out of the middle east and send the muslims back. We have plenty of natural gas.

There’s not much more to Bahrain than that...Back in the day the Navy only had the ASU (Alcohol Support Unit)...Now it is quite a complex...
With all the hoopla going on, you’d think someone would have said something, or maybe not, for a good reason, about our personnel stationed there...The Fleet can get out of dodge there pretty quick, but those land based personnel are kinda stuck...
