With all due respect, this is inaccurate.
The Libyan government was at war with the United States for decades, including the Lockerbie bombing which killed well over 100 Americans. Numerous other Libyan assaults on Americans were prevented.
We largely ignored this war because we didn't want to respond, but that doesn't mean it didn't exist.
Most of the individual soldiers being killed haven't done anything to us, but that applies in every war.

Are you suggesting we are obligated to provide military support to revolutions around the world because we sought and received help from the French, who had their own reasons for siding against the British?
