Obama locked out of Oval Office By Daniel Strauss - 03/24/11 10:36 AM ET

President Obama had some unexpected trouble at the White House on Wednesday: He couldn't get into the Oval Office.

After returning from a five-day trip to Latin America, President Obama returned to the White House to find that some of the doors to the Oval Office were locked tight.

Staff at the White House appeared not to have known that the the president had returned early from his trip and hadn't unlocked the doors, according to an ABC News affiliate in Washington.

Obama handled the setback coolly, however, and simply tried another pair of doors, which were unlocked.

In 2009, while responding to a question about the controversial arrest of Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., President Obama joked about getting locked out of the White House. Gates was arrested after he forgot the keys to his home and tried to break in.

"I mean, if I was trying to jigger into — well, I guess this is my house now so — it probably wouldn't happen. But let's say my old house in Chicago. Here [at the White House], I'd get shot," Obama joked.

In the back of his mind he was probably thinking” uh oh, they’ve learned the truth about me”.

The press is so annoying sometimes.

The entire article was written around the intention of portraying how he "handled the setback cooly". Cuz, ya know, he's a "cool" guy!

“Obama handled the set-back coolly”

Wow! What fawning press drone wrote that?

The networks are beginning to release the embarrassing footage they have on this guy. It looks like the free ride express is finally coming into the station. End Of The Line...

Back when New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey was on the verge of being indicted for various crimes I predicted that his way out of the mess would be to stop denying all of the swirling rumors over his sexual orientation, because the resulting cultural panic would make people completely forget about the bribery and corruption.

McGreevey did my prediction one better by announcing at a press conference that “His truth was that he was a Gay American”. Brilliant! The man never served a day in jail.

I gotta suspect that people are thinking along similar lines in the Obama White House right now. Things are just going to keep on getting worse, because Obama has dug a hole from which there is no digging out. Libya is the cherry on top of the sh!t sundae of his own creation. So, what is a President to do?

Simple. Stop denying the Birther rumors. Admit that you are not a native-born citizen. The resulting Constitutional crisis would make everybody completely forget about everything else. Obama can be hounded out of office with his head held high and the idiots on the Left can talk for another fifty years about how great a President he might have been...

My prediction is that somewhere in the basement of the White House, people are trying to concoct an innocent explaination of how Obama could run for President without realizing that he is Constitutionally ineligible. I’m guessing that Momma is about to go under the bus. Of course, her deception would have come out of a mother’s earnest desire for her child to have a better life as an American citizen, so maybe she doesn’t have to go under the bus at all.

Such courage and intellect.

The man is genius.

Too bad it wasn’t the border. I bet he had a moment of chill running up his spine when he couldn’t open that door. LOL

Tony,
That really is not funny. Somebody is getting fired and God Help if it someone from the Bush term that is a non partisan pick. That person is gone. Trust me. somebody is fired. That is completely unacceptable. I think one of his aides should be fired too for not calling ahead to let them know the President of the United States is arriving. The protocol department is a disaster in this White House and I don’t think that they are all new folks.

I feel sorry for the poor guy having to walk around to another door to get into his office...

God help us if our boss has to go around to the other entrance. The Captain would be pissed off and this guy is the President. This is totally UNSAT!!!!

Whoever answered the door should have asked him for his birth certificate as proof of identification!

That picture reminds me of the ending of the weekly Flintstones TV show. While the credits were playing, Fred Flintstone would take out the cat, who would sneak back into the house and lock Fred out. Fred would then bang on the front door screaming, “Wwwiiilllmmmaaaa”, waking up all of the neighbors. Someone should remake that as a short video with 0bama trying to get back into the White House and screaming, “Hhhiiillllllaaarrryyy”.

"well, I guess this is my house now so..."

Whatever you want to say about George Bush (either of 'em), I guarantee there was never one second when he even THOUGHT the White House was "his." Most Presidents are honored to spend time in the People's House.
