OK, I think I found the right forum for this. I am U.S. military in Bahrain. I just sent my wife and four children back to the U.S. I tried to call L’Auberge hotel in Lake Charles, LA to get a reservation for them because my wife is from that area and I want a safe place for them to stay. I kept getting black people in reservations and they could not comprehend my situation. They had no idea where or what Bahrain was (or the Middle East for that matter) and would not give me a reservation for more than two days. In addition, they would not let me talk with a manager. I am very frustrated and do not want to sound racist, but there really is a difference between races.
Thank you for your service. I sympathize with your plight, but be thankful it was a black person instead of an ILLEGAL.
The fast food joints hire them, and they can screw up an order for iced tea - and regularly do ! They have what seems to be a cultural characteristic - they talk way to fast (while mangling the words) and DON’T LISTEN.
I drive 4 miles out of my way at lunch so I can deal with a black person or a Chinese person.
