Billionaire developer and potential Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump got into a heated war of words on national television today as he questioned why Barack Obama has not revealed his long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate to help demonstrate his eligibility for the presidency.
"I want him to show his birth certificate! There's something on that birth certificate that he doesn't like," said Trump on ABC's "The View."
The comment enraged co-host Whoopi Goldberg, who fired back, "I think that's the biggest pile of dog mess I've heard in ages. It's not 'cause he's black is it?"
"It has nothing to do with that," said Trump.
Goldberg interjected, "Because I've never heard any white president asked to be shown the birth certificate. When you become a president of the United States of America, you know that he's American. I'm sorry, that's B.S."

My mouth is still hanging open from having read that Donald Trump is a potential presidential candidate. I guess people watching Obama get elected without any credentials were encouraged....the bar has been set low....wondering what Trump’s first, second, or third lady would look like....
I have a ton of respect for Trump going right into that snake den and pissing in their cornflakes. He is immune to political correctness and I like that.

My Birth Certificate has my Mother and Father's name, their age, their place of birth, how many live births resulted from this pregnancy, the Doctor's name etc.

HER statements were a “big pile of dog mess”. What a racist, schmucky bunch of remarks. a) Too bad Trump either didn’t know, or didn’t think to remind her, that there were hearings over McCain’s eligibility since he was born in Panama; and b) so “you know that he’s American”? HOW do you “know”???
It’s also pathetic that no one who comes on the media will simply bring up the Constitutional issue of natural-born, i.e. born to two U.S. citizens - that would completely eliminate the need for the “birther” labeling by Libs, and would ALSO point out their ignorance about the Constitution (killing two birds at once). It would’ve been priceless to see Trump just say that on such a widely watched venue as the View - those women are very stupid, and Elisabeth, while well-intentioned, has much growing up to do.

Me, too - he rose in my estimation with that. Just a shame that, as I posted earlier, he didn’t have a ready come-back of the Constitutional, natural-born issue or the fact that there were hearings on McCain’s eligibility at the time.

Her ignorance is astounding. Trump should’ve given her a constitutional smack-down. I’m glad he at least said what he did, even if he could’ve said so much more.
