Michelle Obama will write about what inspired her garden and will also share favorite Obama family recipes.
US first lady Michelle Obama will write a book about the kitchen garden she started at the White House and her efforts to promote healthy eating, the Crown publishing group said on Wednesday.
The as yet untitled book will be published in April 2012. It is expected to include an explanation from Mrs. Obama as to what inspired her to plant the first edible garden on the White House's South Lawn since Eleanor Roosevelt's World War II era "victory garden." She will also share some of her family's favorite healthy recipes, said Crown, a unit of Random House publishers.

Will Bernadine Dohrn be her ghost writer?

Obama family recipes:
1. Wagyu Beef with oyster sauce.
2. Lobster with Mango Chutney
3. Mini Me Martini’s
4. White House Pale Ale
Right out of the Whitehouse Garden.
Great bathroom book, considering the sludge in the garden.
They're both equally adept inept at dressing themselves.

Ghost writers in the sky...
Michelle Obama’s Apple Cobbler
8 Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced [or a bag of frozen peeled apples]
1-1/2 to 2 cups of brown sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup white flour
Mix these ingredients together in a bowl and let it sit in the refrigerator overnight so the spice goes all the way through the apples.
Crust:
3 sheets refrigerated pie crust
1 stick of butter
Preheat oven at 325 degrees. Butter and flour the bottom of a large baking dish. Roll out three pie crusts real thin — as thin as possible. Layer the bottom of the pan with 1-1/2 of the pie crusts and prick a few holes in it. Pour the apples with the liquid into the pie pan. Dot 3/4 of a stick of butter around the apples. Use the final 1-1/2 pie crusts to cover the apple mixture entirely (let the pie crust overlap the pan).
Pinch the edges of the dough around the sides of the pan so the mixture is completely covered.
Melt final 1/4 stick of butter and brush all over top of crust.
Reduce the oven temperature to 300 degrees. Bake at 300 for up to 3 hours — that’s what makes the crust flaky, like Barack likes it. Put the cobbler in the oven and go for a walk, go to the store, or do whatever you have to do around the house. Start looking at the cobbler after two and a half hours so it doesn’t burn.
Serve anytime.
A cookbook????? LOL. The only people who write cookbooks—other than people who truly know how to cook and spend years in the kitchen—like chefs—are society wives who are trying to find something to do with their time.
Michelle Obama’s Favorite Veggie Recipe
No Cream Creamed Spinach
Serves 6
Ingredients
2 pounds baby spinach, washed and cleaned
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 shallots, minced
2 garlic cloves, minced
Salt and freshly ground pepper.
Directions
1. Blanch half a pound of spinach in salted, boiling water. Immediately, “shock” the blanched spinach in a bowl of iced water. Drain and squeeze out the excess water. Puree in a blender. Set aside.
2. In a large skillet, sweat the shallots and garlic until translucent. Add the rest of the spinach leaves. Toss and sauté until wilted. Fold in the spinach puree. Season with salt and pepper.
I see in the future...a Pulitzer Prize, a Grammy Award for the Book On Tape, and a Nobel Prize for Literature.
LOL
With the appropriate beverage..

It was the second birthday celebration for Mrs. Obama, because Malia and Sasha threw a surprise party for The Mother in Chief on January 17, when the First Family was on the Georgia 300, chugging from Philadelphia to DC on the Whistle Stop Tour (a Barackarazzi pic of the event, at left). The First Daughters were already flexing wee White House muscle: They got a Transition staffer to pick up two birthday cakes for their mum in Baltimore, while they secretly decorated one of the train cars with streamers and balloons. And the folks at Donna's, a restaurant in Baltimore, said they had no idea their takeout cake order was for the First Lady-elect, according to Baltimore Sun's Jill Rosen.
Will she write a book about the people who actually worked in “her” garden?
Michelle Obama’s Slow Broiled Potomac Carp

fine ground cracker crumbs
Pre-heat oven to 225
place carp on sugar-pine wood board
rub carp with butter

broil for one and one-half hours
remove from oven,
scrape carp into trash
eat board
This is an indirect and “legal” way to pay them off. Someone ghostwrites a book for them (ie. Ayers for Obama) and then book sellers push the hell out of them. And then unions and other liberal organizations buy truckloads of them and either tosses them or stores them in an unmarked warehouse. Worked for the Clintons, worked for Barry, and now Mama Obama wants in on the action.
Don’t forget Jim Wright
I guess Marie Antoinette has to do something on her spare time.
