the quote was something like this:
Its not impossible for a woman to become the President of the U.S. In fact, I think its time that a woamn became POTUS.
I don’t think that word means what you think it means...
Some people seem to be offended at my comments here, assuming that I am rabidly anti Sarah Palin.
I have not voiced my opinion of Sarah Palin on this thread and won't be drawn into that discussion.
Besides, I won't be interested in talking about candidates until the interested parties officially throw their names into the hat.
We should all be careful about getting caught up in the madness of the cult of personality.

I’m all in for the snake bit model if its time to vote for body parts.
I have no interest in guessing or assuming anything.
Not so much a feminist as a real female—look at her hair—it is obvious that Todd likes long hair or she would cut it—a woman who can be president but still loves her husband enough to go through the hassle and hardship of keeping and cleaning long unruly locks so hard to maintain especially on the road.
Reagan loved his Nancy like all get out as well.
I think it does.
If Palin gets the nomination, she will for sure have earned it by having been transparent and tough as nails. I’d take her in a NY minute over Obama, that’s for sure.
Whoever gets the Republican nomination, they will have likely earned it.
Palin should not go down the route of saying that “it’s time for a woman to be President of the US.” That is the same game the multi-culturalists play and it is what got the current incompetent, leftist idealogue, asshole in the WH.
She should stick to the issues; the right positions on those will win the 2012 election.
“Calling ersatz conservative Republicans like Mitt,Newt,Huck and McCain RINOs is meaningless?
Explain.”
Calling every person a RINO with whom one disagrees on a single policy issue has meaning? Mike Pence? Tom Tancredo? Allen West?
You explain.
1.) Simply being female makes one a better candidate.
2.)Simply being female doesn't make one a better candidate, but in the interest of quotas, a female should be president.
3.)The current crop of male candidates appear to be cowards, while the two most couragously conservative candidates are female.
Which of the above three reasons do you guess she thinks?
I have no interest in guessing or assuming anything.
Good...unlike some others here.
Dunno what to tell you other than I’m not voting for sexists or racists.
You may want to tell that to the other undeclared candidates. I think they may have missed that memo.
She just used her gender against herslf.
I’m not voting for sexists or racists.
That was a damn stupid thing for her to say, or any other woman to say, or any race for that matter.
Tired of this sh!t, ain’t playin’ it any more.
A lot of Mrs Palin's supporters cannot comprehend this premise.
Imagine: Palin officially becomes a candidate and many of her supporters here at FR volunteer in their localities.
~doorbell rings~
Palin volunteer: "Good afternoon, ma'am. May ask for a few minutes of your time and speak to you about Sarah Palin?"
Seventy-five year old lady: "I'm sorry, but I prefer another candidate other than Sarah Palin"
Palin volunteer: "~sticks foot in doorway so door can't be closed~ "What do you mean by 'another candidate'? Let me guess, you're a RINO, aren't you?! So OLD LADY, who are you supporting, ROMNEY??!!"
Elderly lady: "Oh my, you're scaring me, please remove your foot and leave"
Palin volunteer: ~stepping back onto the porch; purposely steps on tail of lady's cat~ "Yeah, I'm leaving! You know what you deserve grandma? You deserve ROMNEYCARE! That's right, have fun getting sick and finding out no doctors are available to help you! Ha-ha!!!"
“We should all be careful about getting caught up in the madness of the cult of personality.”
WAY too late for many hereon.
Yep, I’m done with separation tactics.
We are either Americans, or we ain’t.
Time to decide.
I agree with more than 90% of what Sarah says, but not this. It's time the best person for the job became president, not a diversity hire, not a relative of a previous president or the next person in line according to party seniority, not a charming philanderer or someone whose best trait is a believable promise that "I will not lie to you", not a crook that others are afraid to stand up to. I want the best that America has to offer, which we've only chosen once in my lifetime - Ronald Reagan. As it happens, it looks to me like the best person for the job today happens to be female (and beautiful), but that's a coincidence or a bonus, not a relevant consideration.
