Before I found out about E-Verify, I had a young female employee that had given me fake ID’s to work in our call center. During that time, she had a baby. She was caught on her way to work one morning without her DL and jailed and her mother called in sick the two days she was in jail. She finally got out and came to see me and told me what she’d done. And that she was being sent back to Mexico. And I told her she had to tender her resignation or be fired. When she got back, 3 months later, she came back with all of her papers that I was able to verify and I gave her her job back, because she was a very hard working and otherwise very honest, and dependable employee. And she was willing to work full time and was not government dependent. She is now an EMT for a local fire department, and has and always has been as American as you or I. It is sad, what is happening to these children that have been here for years, but if they have every opportunity to do it right.
My point is...they need to go home and do it right. It doesn’t take but about 3 months.
As for San Luis Potosi, my son goes down there about 3 times a year on a church mission to the Bible College there and helps build dormatories for orphanages. He got back from there about 3 weeks ago. Said they knew about the cartel hit while he was there and they were more cautious than usual, but at all times felt secure. The incident happened because the drug cartel mistook the US agents’ SUV to belong to a rival gang.

I’d be feal interested in how someone got “their papers right” in three months....andwhat kind of papers they got. I would be absolutely surprised at that. What kind of papers does she have now?
3 months ???
