I'm no Palinista as a perusal of my posting history will quickly reveal.

But I can safely say that there is no better way to spotlight the intellectual depth, the bred-in-the-bone gravitas, the philosophical seriousness, of Sarah Palin, than by placing her next to Donald Trump.

I like Trump. You Trump bashers are just jumping on the bandwagon. Ronald Reagan is DEAD. He can't run. Michele Bachman, whom I love, just gaffed her way out of contention, (if she ever was in). A member of Congress whose constantly refers to the founding fathers and the constitution, makes herself the titular head of the teaparty, and tells a crowd in New Hampshire that they are the state where “the shot heard ‘round the world” was fired, is finished as a credible candidate.

“What I love about New Hampshire and what we have in common is our extreme love for liberty,” “You’re the state where the shot was heard around the world in Lexington and Concord. And you put a marker in the ground and paid with the blood of your ancestors the very first price that had to be paid to make this the most magnificent nation that has ever arisen in the annals of man in 5,000 years of recorded history.”

OOPS!

RE: Michele Bachman, whom I love, just gaffed her way out of contention

How big a gaffe is it, such that it is iredeemable?

I can count countless gaffe made by Obama and Biden.

Did you hear what she said in response to someone correcting her gaffe about New Hampshire being the home of the "shot heard round the world?"

She said, "Well, that's the last time I borrow Obama's teleprompter."

Which is worse, not knowing a factoid in history or not knowing that America has 50 states?

Will Americans really CARE about this tiny issue when the financial abyss awaits the nation?

I’d vote for someone who can handle America’s budget and debt who misreads a historical fact over someone who wins jeopardy who doesn’t know how to balance the books and I suspects most Americans will.

Yes, and the self-deprecating response aside, how serious is the gaffe? Are Americans so nit picky that they would consider this gaffe so major so as to disqualify someone from office?

Which is worse, not knowing a factoid in history or not knowing that America has 50 states?, or not knowing that J-O-B-S is a four letter word?

Will Americans really CARE about this tiny historical gaffe when a HUGE financial abyss awaits the nation?

I’d vote for someone who can handle America’s budget and debt who misreads a historical fact over someone who wins jeopardy but doesn’t know how to balance the books and I suspect most Americans will.

I'm not really worried about having to vote for Trump as there is no way he will get the GOP nomination. He has so much baggage financial and socially. Not only that, but if you think the left gives Palin a hard time what they would do to Trump would be unbelievable. I don't hate the man, don't get me wrong, but he has no chance.

If you want a businessman as president, one who really knows how to make money, Trump is not your man.

The guy goes bankrupt every few years and then since he has “conned” his creditors into lending him so much money they are then forced to re-structure his debt and let him roll on down the line. This is not a good businessman, this is a good con man. I had my business for 17 years and never went bankrupt once.

Trump is amusing and occasionally has a good idea but POTUS? I think not.

if he promises to stand at the podium on Inauguration Day, stare directly at Obama and say, “You’re Fired!”, I just might support him...

Any republican or conservative voting third-party, and not for the republican ticket, is flushing this country down the tubes. Period.

A Republican PARTY that nominates a private property-grabbing, 0bamaCare-loving social liberal to carry the GOP flag into a general election is flushing this country down the tubes. Exclamation point!

"Do you think he got to where he is by reading teleprmpters and being told what to say?"

I think he got where he is because he inherited a lot of money and has turned it into a lot more money. He also filed for bankruptcy along the way which will surely come out. Besides, I'm not talking about him against Obama, I'm talking about him against the other candidates for the Republican nomination.

Trump is a publicity hound. Period.

Because of his mouth, last week Panama declared Donald Trump persona non grata.

Ok, while you sit there all proud about not voting for a republican questionable, you can also watch while this country lives another two years under rat rule. But you would be right.

OK... but how is he different? Look at his issue opinions. They differ little from democrats.

With Trump you know you’re getting a clown when you vote for him, instead of discovering it afterwards.
