Police and Firefighter unions demand businesses publicly oppose Wisconsin governor
Radio Vice Online ^ | March 15, 2011 | Steve McGough

Here is another reason public unions should not be allowed to collectively bargain with politicians running a local or state government. Union leadership – including those from law enforcement and firefighters – have sent letters out to local businesses demanding they publicly oppose the efforts of Wisconsin’s legislature and governor or face the consequences.

Not only are they suggesting they publicly oppose the fiscal-sanity measures in Wisconsin, they are flat out telling them they will publicly boycott businesses who do not proactively do so.

If it’s true that union members typically vote 50/50 D/R, then maybe broad condemnation of the members is not the best to way identify the corruption.

We expect average Muslims to express outrage against Muslims terrorist. Maybe we should also expect the same from the cops and firefighters that don’t support the kind of thuggery reported in this article.

Blackmail, intimidation, threat, stalking. There must be several laws being broken here.

Since I first saw that the police and fire unions were supporting the teachers union, I have thought that as with all blackmail, the state should not accommodate their threats to let property burn or criminals reign unrestrained. If the loyalty of these union members is to their unions ahead of any other consideration, especially those taxpayers who pay their generous salaries, then they are due no consideration whatsoever from those who foot the bill. Let the firefighters stand by while something burns down which they were tasked to take care of. One time and the whole state will be against them all. Same for police who are derelict in their duty to protect and defend the citizens who placed their trust in them. Let blackmail play out to it’s ultimate conclusion, which is to the destruction of the blackmailers. Indulging unions by catering to their incessent demands to rule or ruin has always been a sorry bargin for the taxpayers. Gov Walker has done his part and I hope he continues to be strong and exert his leadership for the benefit of not only his state but for the rest of this country as well.

I agree that this seems illegal but will the business community unite against this?

Privatize every firefighter and police officer.

Blackwater? Halliburton?

So, the good people of Wisconsin should boycott those businesses that support the unions.

The police and fire fighters are next on Walkers Chopping block, I hope! I have really lost a lot of respect for them!

They have turned their backs when the mob was breaking laws and hurting walkers’ supporters.

I will never give money to police charities again.

Fight fire with fire, brother. I believe that’s the only thing they will understand.
