I was refering to that Russian sub which was saved by a brave sailor who manually pulled the rods out and died.
First - The Russians are not the example of how to handle anything related to nuclear.
Second - You don’t pull control rods out to stop the reaction, you put them in.
The only Russian sub I am aware of that was almost lost to nuke problems was one that had a coolant leak. Which one are you referring to.
