Is 30X higher than normal significant?
Yes, it is significant and presents a danger, that is exactly why they moved the ship. If half of these macho "nuclear arm chair warriors" here on the FR were in charge of the ship they wouldn't move it until the flesh was dropping off thier bones, all the while gazing off into the distances at liberals, laughing and saying "See, it's safe, it is, it really is ..."

You’ve denigrated other Freepers several times here. Your use of the term ‘macho’ and ‘nuclear arm chair warriors’ is offensive and uncalled for. It only shows your fear of the unknown has disengaged your brain.

First of all, how is it "macho" to refuse to give in to panic? I think it is simply a matter of being informed. The rest of your post is slanderous. "Flesh dropping off their bones"? Come on, grow up.
As a "warrior", I believe it is best to avoid radiation when you can, sure. I just don't give into the irrational panic that most have about radiation, it is simply not as bad as most people think or FEEL about it.

Many people working with nukes do have arm chairs. Including the operators of the nuclear plants. Nobody stands there shoveling uranium ore into the reactor core anymore.
