I worked in Gulfport,MS after Katrina and travel over to N.O., LA.You would not belive the difference in the attitudes of the people in those two areas. In MS you saw a lot of people out in their own yards cleaning up, in LA I saw a lot of people sitting on their porches waiting for someone to do it for them. It was as different as night and day.

Thank you for your efforts to aid my home state. If not for the love, dedication, and selfless actions of good citizens from all across America, the Gulf Coast would not have survived. I mean that with all sincerity.
The church groups and citizen aid groups of America did far more good for the folks than any government agency.
