Actually - that old map(s?) show the ACTUAL land coastline, that has been obscured by ice since “modern” exploration. Only until ground radar and seismic surveys of more recent years could the true coastline be determined. Which fit fairly well with that old map. Cool stuff.

So true. The skill and accuracy of ancient mapmakers is itself a fascinating thing. THEY didn't need GPS!
