Anything less than a nearby 6.8M is run of the mill throughout Japan though, so we ignore those and go about our daily business.

Amazing how people can get used to just about anything.

I only experienced the merest "push" of a tremor one time when I was in a Tokyo hotel (it was over ten years ago), and that was more than I cared to handle...

Its funny. We normally sleep through all these quakes that rack the house at night, and when on the train, or at the office, we just continue work as the lighting, blinds, and buildings sway. When I was at the pub last night waiting for the trains, we had several hard aftershocks that bumped the entire building and moved us, and we just continue talking and drinking and saying, “oh, there’s another one, its gonna be an interesting weekend...”
