Does anyone have serious information on how far the effects of an explosion/ meltdown wil carry.

From earlier official information, worst case is still a LOCAL problem. We're talking a few miles radius. No threat to the US, 5000 miles away, or even other portions of Japan.

This is NOT Chernobyl.

The word “nuclear” is scary and back in 1979 with my home 12 miles from TMI in Pennsylvania, there was a lot of wild panic and speculation.

Stay cool and stay calm.
