Just in:
Explosion at Tepco's Fukushima Daiichi plant heard around 0630 GMT
NHK footage shows steam-like smoke coming from Tepco's Fukushima plant

NHK World now clarifying No 2 power plant area, Fukushima Daini, is still under a 10km evac zone, it was not extended to 20km.
“Japan Nuclear Safety Agency: has heard explosion was not at reactor”
“Thanks! That’s a good thing.”
The Japanese govt. has lied about/covered up accidents at nuke plants in the past, so I`m not very assured about their assurances.
I’ve got a bottle in the basement. From those guys.
We have a slightly similar situation. After a major earthquake the air gets filled with particulates. Makes wearing contacts very difficult, just like fire smoke does. In this case it may tend to keep the radiation localized a bit, until the wind moves those particulates.
I remember how the LSM demagogued TMI and Chernobyl. The two events were equivalent, as far as the media was concerned. I remember thinking, "there goes nuclear power for another 30 years."
My estimate was pretty good. I'm not as pessimistic this time around, but I'm still pessimistic.
Thank you.
There’s about 50 mg of iodide in 6 liters of salt. That much salt would do me in..
Actually since that post I went to NHK TV online and they were saying it WAS the reactor. http://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/
Reuters often censors anythng that is anti-Left or anti-Obama...
FOX now back on Live. Saturday FOX & Friends starting 1-hr. early at 6AM/EST-3AM/PST.
Makes me think about the movie "Kentucky Fried Movie" where the news reporter says: "Soviet missiles headed for New York... details at eleven"
Where do you live? Why would you want to block your thyroid (keep it from working) if a threat isn’t imminent?
FOX crew zeroing in on why the Japanese government hasn’t been more forthcoming with details about the problem at the nuclear reactor.
Expert was questioning why the government seems to be downplaying the potential of possible worst case scenarios.
He also brought up the possibility of potential danger to the US.
yup, they wont tell the truth, its too damaging to them and their economy. They are trying that explosion which took out the entire building didnt damage the metal cap. Yeah right.
Yeah but Foxnews just woke up.
Same kind of sound you get from a power plant that vents steam? May not be an “explosion”, but opening of a main steam isolation valve to relieve pressure.
I remember how silent the Russians were about Chernobyl, until they couldn’t hold back anymore.
6.1 just hit again.
Once the radiation had "defected" to the West there wasn't really any way to keep it a secret.
