7.0 is not an ‘aftershock’ - it’s a full blown BIG quake.

It's big but 1000 times less than the original. Whatever was going to be wrecked is probably wrecked.

Actually - wrecked AND WEAKENDED. Subsequent quakes, especially as strong as 7.+, can easily bring down the already weakened buildings.

I always worried about the 'aftershocks"
