Bachmann pal: She's 'leaning' toward presidential run

Michele Bachmann may be getting serious about jumping into the White House race. Continue Reading

"She is leaning more toward doing it," a Republican close to Bachmann told CNN. "The people she's meeting on the ground, they love her. She is definitely more encouraged when she makes these trips."

While she's laying her ground game in early states, Bachmann advisers are keeping quiet on her organizational structure or political outreach.

"If the congresswoman decides to do run, she is going to do it her way, and her way has never been the establishment way," Andy Parrish, Bachmann's chief of staff, said.

While officially, there's no comment, the Republican source told CNN that a potential Bachmann for president campaign would put Obama's grassroots shop to shame.

Bachmann has had exposure to the National stage and acquitted herself just fine.

However, I need every conservative I can get my hands on to represent my interests against the rest of the frozen-headed liberal douche-bags in this Gods forsaken State.

Cain is by far the most "conservative" of the three, but lacks National exposure and is vulnerable to MSM/leftist "Uncle Tom"/copy cat accusations. Stupid, but there it is.

He was still a Senator. Its not a shot at Bachman, but Congressmen dont become President. How did Duncan Hunter, Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and Tom Tancredo do in primaries in 08? Paul had 35 delegates and Hunter had 1, out of over 2,000. Kucinich and Tancredo received none.

They were all true believers with a loyal, but small base.

she’s also been thoroughly “vetted”. I don’t think it possible for there to be any october surprises pulled on her

This is a huge point, none of the others (except Newt) have been vetted AT ALL. Bachman used to send people who couldn't pay their taxes to jail when she worked for the IRS. It was her job, but man will she get beat over the head for that!! All these guys, many most likely not anywhere near the morality level of Sarah (FReepers, please don't show your stupidity arguing this, you KNOW it's true), definately have had a clear path so far.

If Sarah announces she is not running, just watch the press attack them all like deamons released from the gates of hell!!!

It;s a little thing, however,Four years of Palin’s voice is enough to make me not vote for her. There is something about it that is shrill. Like Laura Ingrams.

So did the GOP (with a new infsion of Tea Partiers) learn anything after 2008? That maybe the big name RINOS really do suck and regularly get heir asses handed to them in an election. Are we going to go conservative this time or settle for another loser with a “name”?

I like both Bachmann and Palin, but I think I'd prefer Palin as president, because she's got more executive experience.

Since Bachmann serves on the House Intelligence Committee, I think she'd be better as National Intelligence Director. She'd certainly be a lot better than what we have now.

Then, she can hold off on deciding to take the heat off the other candidates.

We can go conservative without a Congressman. Its a matter of reality, Congressmen dont even get delegates in a meaningful number. They can be perfect ideologically, but they dont produce results.

There are some good Conservatives in the Senate/Governor ranks, and our nominee will come from that bench or a businessman like Trump or Cain.

In the Senate, we have:

Sessions-Al
Risch-Id
Johanns-Ne
Hoeven-ND
Inhofe-Ok
Coburn-Ok
DeMint-SC
Enzi-Wy

In Governors, we have:

Parnell-Ak
Brewer-Az
Otter-Id
Daniels-In
Brownback-Ks
Jindal-La
Barbour-Ms
Christie-NJ
Perry-Tx
McDonnell-Va
Walker-Wi

Those, combined with retirees like Palin and Santorum, and businessmen like Cain and Trump, are going to be the candidates our nominee comes from.

Four years of Palin’s voice is enough to make me not vote for her.

That's easy to resolve. Turn off the sound, read the text and enjoy the view ;-)

I’m starting to wonder about the ‘raring to go’ bit with Palin. I get the sense she’s less decided than she was a couple of months ago.

Everyone else needs start raising money now and the big conservative and grass roots donors are going to wait for Palin’s decision.

Not even Obama will be able to outraise Sarah Palin. No other potential GOP candidate can do that.

I don’t know about that. I believe Barry is expected to raise a billion. He’s got a lot of advantages as president and no compunction about illegal foreign donations coming in as online credit card payments.
