I just heard from him via email!

“Stayed night in office. Now on train back home on sat at 1030 am. What a day. I was stuck so got drunk last night with somee other forginers and told stories of the day.... I heard. This was biggest quake in the ring of fire sine 852 AD. 1200 years ago wow.”

That’s my brother!

(Thank you, God!)

Prayers for all those still in survival mode and who are suffering in Japan.

amen

So glad he is OK!

The stories on the news about the people trapped, injured, missing or presumed dead in the northeast areas of Japan are heartbreaking. I do hope that the offers of help that have come from many many countries are giving comfort to the Japanese people.

I had a Japanese pen pal years and years ago when I was in high school and I was thinking of her all weekend. She was a wonderful person, sweet and super polite. I found myself wondering if she was still alive after all these years.
