Since Rep. Ellison is a member of Congress, I am sure what he meant to say was,”this is what could have happened.”

As a member of Congress, I am sure he will be able to “Amend & Extend” his remarks.

Actually, the Constitution forbids us from questioning Ellison about what he said in Congress, so he can lie all he wants.

See Article I, Section 6 (about Senators and Representatives):

"...and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place."
