Not to quibble, but more like 1968 with Sirhan Sirhan or 1972 in Munich with the Olympics. More interesting perhaps, is that given a multiple choice quiz as to who assassinated Bobby Kennedy, 1) Right wing extemists tied to Timothy McVeigh, 2) A white supremist who used an illegal automatic weapon while standing on a grassy knoll in Memphis or a Palestinian who was making a political statement, MOST Americans would NOT choose #3.
Correction: should read 1) ...,2)...or 3) a Palestinian ...
