That is the first thing I thought. If the community is divided, I hope it is between those who want them executed immediately and those who think they should be executed after a brief trial.
Unfortunately I suspect it is divided between those who support the rapists and those who don’t.
More likely, if the community is divided, it is between those who want them executed immediately and those who want to execute anyone who snitched about this to the cops.
Including the victim, of course.
