Eggs tend to vary with the price of wheat. Currently wheat is up. In the future wheat will be down.

Best bet on eggs is to get a half dozen hens and a rooster. You can throw out your alarm clock and the hens will nest around your home's foundation and keep the bugs scratched out.

You may need to train your dog to not kill chickens though ~ part of his job will be to guard the hens!

We pay about $3.10 for a gallon of milk. Of course we produce our own goat milk and get meat besides - so I’m not sure we count.
