Sorry to hear this. I’ve often watched Hawass documentaries on Egypt. Seemed like he was an expert and very enthused about his work.

That (thankfully) short-lived reality series “The Amazing Adventures of Dr. Zahi Hawass” was horrible; I think he had no idea that he was exposing himself as an egotistical blowhard prick.

Amen. I hate to see the antiques messed with; but I see this Havass guy as a jerk. He was so arrogant, and acted as though all of the items were his personal property. He made a total fool of himself on one show; he blatantly allowed a pretty li’l new volunteer run all over him. It was not pretty: She was so obvious, and he just looked like an old fool.
