The Federal Government needs to step in. If this is allowed to continue in Wisconsin, the entire country is at great risk and all bets are off.

Errr, are you forgetting that Obama effectively runs the Federal Government? Walker will get no help from the Feds. If anything, they also support the union thugs.

If there were rational adults in the white hut, I wouldn’t be too concerned. There aren’t any and the TOTUS is way above his paygrade here too. If TOTUS dd lay some heavy numbers on WI, they would be the wrong ones.

CDO - Command Duty Officer?

Oh, and I might add that the present White House administration will be held accountable from now until doomsday if they screw this up.

Imho, so far they are unanimously succeeding in their continued incompetence and dereliction of duty.

That is a HORRIBLE idea; in fact, it would be better to get the meanest, angriest, most PTSD-ed Guardsmen [in full battle-rattle with live-ammo and a green-light on shoot-to-kill anything that makes them jump] to act as escorts for the Governor and the Legislators.

i.e. — Virtually certain civilian casualties are more desirable than abdicating *MORE* liberties —and becoming more enslaved to— the federal government.

I am heartened to see the comments on this thread.

The mainstream public and mainstream media need to focus on the possible loss of representative democracy here rather than technical aspects of “the bill”

The bottom line is that a mob has taken down the due functioning of an elected State government and capitol building. There is a lot more at stake here than just some teacher’s ability to bargain for a lifetime pension.

The gang of 14 has put this State and Country on as slippery a slope as we’ve been in a long time.

“The Federal Government needs to step in. If this is allowed to continue in Wisconsin, the entire country is at great risk and all bets are off.”

And who’s in charge of “the feds”?

The feds may just step in. But if they do, just who’s side do you think they’ll be on?
