I would much prefer the 50 States each independently deciding this matter in also deciding whether or not their electors can be casts for the man.
I don’t really like the idea of congress having a veto over who can run for president. This is a matter of the 50 States 50 different elections for deterring how to cast their respective electors.
I would very much like a presidential Canadit to have to prove his eligibility to at least 270 electors worth of em to win.

If a few more states pass the requirement that all candidates must prove they have never been a dual citizen then Obozo is toast.
Actually, to make a point...it’d be better to get every possible illegal alien to come up and sign as a candidate for an office. Once it became clear that forty or fifty foreign citizens occupy city, county, or state positions...everyone would then agree that the system is broke.
It's actually the job of Congress to ensure that a President elect is eligible or they, Congress, must name an interim President.
