What a friggin joke......
We have our young folks dying in Afghanistan and our Government does not have the will to win there what makes anyone think we will do the right thing here?
Well first of all it's a lot easier...like plucking a hair rather than curing cancer. Almost nobody there wants Gaddafy or his spawn in charge, the mission here is simply to help them accomplish his removal with much less delay and bloodshed. If you had Libyan menfolk in the streets, that would mean a lot to you.
As for the more distant future, that's their business, but if we really don't like the results, we don't have to thaw out those frozen assets.
BTW, Libyans in Mediterranean cities are not anything like Afghanis in mountain fastnesses. If the decision were mine I'd have them form several free cities, some sort of confederation.
