By choosing to pander to their public sector union supporters and financiers rather than serve the hard working taxpayers of Wisconsin, the 14 Democrat Senators who are cowering in the Peoples Republic of Illinois will bear the responsibility for $165 million in additional debt service costs. Lost amid the well organized protests in Madison and dwarfed by rumors of crippling strikes in the wake of meaningful fiscal reform is todays deadline for debt restructuring.
The obstructionist Democrat Senators disgraceful action will now be paid for by the people of Wisconsin.

Democrats prefer to waste taxpayer money by giving it to their pals. If that option is unavailable, they’ll settle for just pissing it away for nothing.

Have you notice Fox News and the others do not refer to these Unions a Government Employee Unions?
To: george76
Democrats just love spending and wasting money, especially when it isn’t their money they are wasting. The unions need to go down now, which will be a major blow to the democrats. Makes me wonder what will happen to corrupt Chicago politics if they don’t have all of that union money coming in.

Oh crap, I hate it when I find out one of the Flee-baggers lives just over the hill from the family homestead in Alma, WI. Strange though, I though most of the people I grew up with in that area were conservatives... Well, at least compared to the idiots in Madison (Mad-City).

Yes, but $165 million is chicken feed to a Democrat.

They do not mind it cause they do not create it. They do not understand basic business. They really do believe there is a bucket filled with money, just behind the door, That prick of a boss is living like a king while they slave to make Him rich.
But never do they question the union boss in the limo

It certainly should have been something to address to the public more vociferously, however it isn’t the focus for now. The focus it would seem to me is the runaway Democrats, and the Union cause, and I believe rightfully so.
Perhaps you and myself can walk and chew gum at the same time, but it seems easy for the masses to become confused if more than a single issue is presented at a time.

I call this a “Scrooge McDuck Understanding of Economics”.
Remember the old Disney character Scrooge McDuck, Donald's rich uncle. In the comic books & comic strips and occasionally on the old Disney TV show we would see old Uncle Srcooge going to his basement and rolling around in coins and bills, almost swimming in a room full of money. RATS, Unionists believe this is real. This in how the boss-man lives, it really shows the utter lack of intellectual sophistication (in spite of all their pretensions to the contrary!)and fantasy driven thinking that is the foundation of RAT thinking.
If you can call it thinking!

Democrat Senator's Absence" You mean to tell me ONE Senator's absence costs $165M?
C'mon, Mr. Boehmke/American Thinker.
We have enough insults to our intelligence without your title writers getting plural possessives wrong.

The headline “Democrat Senator’s absence to cost Wisconsin $165 Million” implies a singular senator. Does it refer to one in particular or is this yet another case in a LONG list of jernalists hoo kan nither rite nor spel?
