Tea Party favorite Christine O'Donnell says she's been invited to be a contestant on TV's "Dancing with the Stars." But the losing Senate candidate from Delaware isn't sure she should accept, saying she has two left feet and a book about politics to complete.
The conservative Republican, who lost to a Democrat amid controversy over past statements about youthful dabbling in witchcraft, is soliciting opinions on her Facebook page.
O'Donnell says her initial reaction was to say "no" to the show, but others are encouraging her to accept. O'Donnell writes she's flattered, but a 2-year-old nephew has more rhythm than she does.
A program representative said Tuesday it has no comment on casting speculation, adding a new cast will be announced next week.

Only reason they want her on is for the homos to viciously criticize her. They LOVE to hate.
I hereby attempt to hijack this O’Donnell bashing thread, by nominating the guitar riff at the beginning of Wango Tango as Tea Party anthem.
Just to try to shake the stuffiness out of this discussion.
Sheesh. What a bunch of nay-sayers. :)
Come on, what else was she going to do to make a living. It’s not like AEI or the Heritage Foundation were going to extend offers.
Maybe she’s accepted that she has no future in DE politics? No one with any aspirations would go on that show. Bristol Palin is a KID, so she could get away with it; not so much O’Donnell.
Yeah and how’s that old-school RINO elitism working out?
I think she's looking at this as a career change.
Libs nothing. Just look at this thread.
Do it to annoy the Mittens.
Good grief. The fact that someone (you) would think that Dancing With the Stars is the natural home to a failed Senatorial candidate, rather than a fellowship position at two of the most prestigious conservative think tanks in the country, speaks volumes about where some people's priorities are.
The best job offer that our former DE Republican Senate candidate can get is a (no)talent show, and you think it's "RINO"ish to think that's bad.
You're a caricature, and you're not even smart enough to know it.
I’m starting to think that if Karl Rove had been in George Washington’s position back at the founding moments of our great and fiercely independent Republic - you know, being such a brilliant strategist and all.
He’d have declared the only sensible behavior when facing the vastly superior firepower of the Redcoats, is for the patriots to oppose the British troops by standing still for dignity, while dressing in bright day-glo yellow uniforms. And certainly he would have forbid the singing of Yankee Doodle Dandy. Being a song intended by the left (oops, I mean the British) to mock Americans.
Whatever happened to freedom and individualism?? Have we forgotten how to stand up without worrying what others think all the time?
It’s like the GOP has adopted the groupthink of the left, while rejecting the best of our own side. That ought to win over a lot of voters frustrated at ever-more suffocating big brother uniformity from the left.
Yes. That should inspire voters.
/s
Want doesn't inspire voters is nominating morons to statewide office who are (apparently) only qualified to be game-show contestants.
But hey, at least she's a "regular" person, just like you.
"Whatever happened to freedom and individualism?? "
What happened to conservatives valuing intellectual excellence and entrepreneurial achievement?
Are those the qualities which formed our nation?
Or was defiance, more important to how things turned out?
If she goes on I might actually watch DWTS.
COD is cute!
This, again?
COD did as well as anyone not named ‘Roth’.
“The best job offer that our former DE Republican Senate candidate can get is a (no)talent show, and you think it’s “RINO”ish to think that’s bad.”
Well yeah. Regular people with advanced degrees have a hard time finding employment in this economy.
But obviously not in ODH land.
Intellectual excellence and entrepreneurial achievement? Yep, those are PRECISELY the qualities that helped form our nation.
Madison, Jefferson, Mason, Washington, etc, etc - all BRILLIANT men who had one thing in common - private enterprise. They, to a man, were all entrepreneurs.
You went to public school, didn't you?
I don’t think she should do it. But not for any reason mentioned here. They used Bristol to get the ratings and then they screwed her chances to win in the end by changing the rules so that the judges decided who won and not the voters. Because, heaven forbid she should have won.
So, no. DWTS has gotten enough ratings off conservatives.
First, what "advanced degree" does Christine O'Donnell have?
Second, it's a tough economy, so everyone is impacted. But in point of fact, people who have advanced degrees are MUCH more likely to find employment than people who aren't. Those are the facts.
NO! BAD IDEA!
This would be the end of her chances to be taken as a serious political figure.
The show’s producers will use her just as they did Bristol Palin.
They will paint her up like a ghetto street doxie, dress her in skimpy, whorish outfits and give her suggestive music for her dance routines.
Anything at all that can be done to capitalize on her name recognition and femininity will be done. They will count on her detractors tuning in to see her sexualized, belittled and trivialized.
