States are using the issuance of licenses as a means to get money for the general fund. In this time of cash-strapped state funding, it’s going to be hard for this to pass most states.
You’re absolutely right about that. I just wish Missouri would follow MT lead but we got a RAT governor now. I believe we might have enough Republicans to override a veto though.
You don't pay for a right. Arizona went to no permission slip, concealed carry last year. Wyoming almost did, but the governor became cross with the pressure to sign it. Utah took up a similar bill last month.
