A right to hold the government hostage is a political tactic.. not a "right"..
Who is it that "they" are holding hostage anyway?..

Someone needs to point out--in fact keep hammering home-- the "minor detail" that the "employer" these government workers get their pay from are TAXPAYERS.

Then, they need to ask a simple question: what the heck is wrong with asking these employees to bargain with their BOSSES--namely the taxpayers of the country/state/county/city/town they work for? As it stands now, it is their fellow government workers who do the bargaining, and they have come to believe, and convince others, that the money they are bargaining over belongs to "the government".

But--duh!--it is the taxpayers who are the real employers, and who more than they should have the RIGHT to be included in the collective bargaining process?
