Great points, we will need an Internet full of conservative truth squads to right all the pap/lies that will be spewed by the left.
The only prayer they have of winning is to reinvent the truth.
And then get the DBM to spread the lies. Remember its all GW’s fault!! Look for lots more of that crap to be spread around.

If you think getting Sarah Palin nominated is going to be easy, you’ve no idea, no idea at all.

Fishtalk is right to raise a yellow caution flag here.

[OK. A little obligatory Daytona talk there...]

Getting the nomination could be impossible for Palin. There are just too many natural enemies out there and she comes from far-flung Alaska with few built-in alliances. If you look at how slimebag Charlie Crist was used to get McCain the nomination in 2008, and move ahead to read the game Tokyo Rove is playing now...

It’s a scary scenario. And it’s all being done on behalf of Jeb Bush and the monarchy inside the Repuke palace.

I even surprise myself when I say this, but I’m increasingly sorry Sarah didn’t just go third party (Tea Party) in 2010 to set up for 2012. She’s got an easy 38-40 percent of the nation wrapped up but then you get to the mush-heads.

In a third party scenario the strength of the country clubber Repukes works to her advantage to cancel out Obamsky’s red brigade.

Though, governing after winning a third party run might be dicey. Still and all, I’m hoping bray is right about all this.

Brilliant catch here, only zero can shut the govt. down. The fact that we insist on small cuts like the proposed 60 billion has nothing at all to do with whether or not the govt. is shut down.

All the 60 billion is is a small down payment on what must come in the future.

” What you have here with the public service unions, is a collective bargaining unit that sits down and negotiates with a government representative who is bargaining with money NOT coming out of his or her pocket, who will eventually benefit from such bargaining should it bring extra money to union coffers which will be turned around to become campaign contributions for who?....the negotiator!

There’s nothing even remotely fair about this process.”

Well stated. This is internal allocation.

A producer ( insert employer ) isn’t agreeing on how much the provider should be compensated, which is the typical negotiations scenario.

MSM won’t ever reveal this.

So about the GOP Meeting of Sussex County Delaware on 2/16/11...folks, I’d just about reached the end, the absolute end. I did write a big article about the events that night, including background, on Facebook. With PICS! . I will be putting it up on the Blog so don’t want to go into too much boring detail.

Save that since the November 2010 elections, us minions in Delaware, since Tom Ross said that our legally elected candidate, Christine O’Donnell, couldn’t win dog catcher, have been trying to take control of OUR political party from the Delaware Blue Blood Ruling Class GOP, headed by, of course, Mike Castle.

They’ve mocked us, degraded us, put very unflattering stories in the papers about us, suddenly found old and smoldering “rules”, abruptly decided to begin enforcing rules they’d never done before, appointed nasty mass emailing Parliamentarians that mocked our candidate to take over the Delaware Gop Chair, called us the Sussex Taliban….in short all the stuff normally done by the liberals/Democrats/Alinsky wing of our political body here in America. Proving just how these Blue Blood GOP are but a whisper away from being actual Democrats. Nothing wrong with being a Democrat if that is your thing, but it’s a big problem when you pretend to be a Republican.

On the night of the great victory, it was a lot of work. But the pitchfork wielding conservative caucus of Sussex County Delaware, worked and emailed and phoned. Finally we got the right people in there. If they couldn’t show, we got legal proxies, according to the “rules”. We appointed a new Sussex chair Pro Tem, appointed our own Parliamentarian, voted via secret ballot. Legal members of the executive committee were restricted to the first three rows and wore orange tags. Before anybody could vote at these meetings, even Democrats!

Some highlights include a so-called “Rules” chair who didn’t know who appointed him, didn’t know who was in his committee, had no idea why all those who volunteered to join the rules committee were never contacted. He resigned that night, as well he should have.

Very first secret ballot, one more ballot shows up than those eligible to vote. Rumor was about that they intended to cheat. Secretary had to call each eligible voter in front and have them vote in front of her. Like the Democrats they are, folks, if they can’t win fair and square, THEY CHEAT!

Treasurer’s report read, first time I can remember in seven years. Guess who paid all the bills for the Georgetown office, etc? The Christine O’Donnell PAC! Wonder who was paying all the bills before? Perfectly legal, understand, but hardly transparent before.

All rules were properly followed with motions, even if they did not benefit us revolting riff-raff. The Chairman Pro Tem was a member of the Sussex county council, he was handsome, he ran the meeting like a pro. My heart swelled with pride.

A motion was made, and passed, to give a “no confidence” vote in the current Sussex Chair who so deceived us and worked against us. HE, btw, was not at the meeting, or was his co-chair. This vote does not force him to step down but really, do you think he’ll go on after a huge majority of his executive board asked for his resignation?

They were outnumbered, the Blue Blood Ruling Class dodos, most of whom were little nothing burger people with no talent save lining up with the elite that the Blue Blood might spill over to them, that they might be part of the “in crowd”. Oh yeah, we got people like this even here in mighty Sussex county Delaware.

Folks, these citizens, including yours truly, have given up weeknights, re-writing bylaws, reading current dusty bylaws, calling up folks. The meeting on 2/16/11 was so absolutely perfect, Democratic, fair, following the rules. No one shouted, screamed or made a fool of themselves. The rules were followed, no one was mocked, the majority...and make no mistake is was a sizable majority proving that it was only a handful mocking and degrading us, the majority rules on all motions.

Orderly, we shut them up. Like the Muse song “Uprising”….”YOU WILL NOT DEGRADE US. WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS.”

I wanted to dance and shout and sing.

• Tom Ross finally got up to speak. Half the attendees got up and walked out. We didn’t shout or scream. Quietly, we gathered our belongings and walked out.

• However, yours truly happen to see Tom Ross, who never met a camera he didn’t like, outside being interviewed by the local Fox affiliate. I grabbed my camera, jumped out of the Jeep. “Mr. Ross! Mr. Ross!” I shouted, running down the parking lot. “How about giving an interview to a humble Blogger?” The local TV station turned the camera to me. Tom Ross was embarrassed into stopping and giving ME an interview. How small would he look to walk away from me? The Fox folks already had me on camera begging for a humble Blogger interview. Folks, you gotta smile. My husband always says, if there’s trouble I’m always somehow in the middle of it.

• Well, first, I didn’t want to come off as aggressive or nasty. Second, however, I didn’t plan this and had to wing it. Insert wink here. My mind was racing. But there in the dark of the night, I got the camera focused. Hey, all I got is a little camera with NO kind of light thing for taking movies. The TV people, they had this big camera on the shoulder thing and a big spotlight and there’s me with my little handheld. The local Fox affiliate, very interested in my impromptu Blogger interview, shined their light for me, over my shoulder, directly on Tom’s face...God Bless America.

• IF you got to my Photobucket page, linked below, you can see the interview and other video of the meeting. I asked Tom Ross that the Wilmington News Urinal (heh, I really called it the “Urinal”, so much for my professionalism) said he was going to quit as Delaware GOP chair. He did respond, in fact….my own scoop! Go look at the video!

• FOUR HUNDRED PEOPLE! That’s how many showed up. Had to rent the local college meeting room.

• WE WON! Don’t give up. If they won’t gracefully give up their power, read the rules, do the leg work, and lawfully wrest it back from them.

• Below is a link to my Photobucket page with all of the videos now uploaded from last night’s GOP meeting, INCLUDING my interview with Tom Ross. The videos’ descriptions should make it simple to ascertain what’s on the video. It is a public page so should be accessible.

One could flip the suggested roles for Ann and Michelle, and still have effective and interesting results.

I’m not on the Palin band wagon yet but I contend whoever the candidate is will have to have exceeded the popularity and ability that Sarah Palin exhibits. She’s raised the bar high enough that a different candidate will have to surpass it to get the nomination. IMHO.

The problem with third party is that you would really split up the vote.

You could be looking at 60-65% split by say a Palin vs. Romney on the right vs. zero on the left. He could win with less than 40% which is all he would probably get if it were just Palin vs. zero. Not a good idea.

But give him [obama] something he’s familiar with — a good old battle between the unions and the mean conservatives and he shoots off his mouth faster than Raylan Givens can shoot his gun.

Yep.....but he shot himself in the foot with this one. I think he's lost Wisconsin in 2012.

I’ve been speculating on this for quite a while.

Baraq has hard core support in the mid 30s percent range.
He does have the potential to pull off a Clintonian plurality win.

If Mittster is the nominee, I’m very sure there will be a Tea Party candidate also.

If Palin is the nominee, there will be a Soros backed MSM promoted “independent” candidate.

I usually agree with you, PB, but I think you’re wrong here.

A 3rd-party Palin and remainder GOP would split the maybe 50-55% of the aggregate vote they’d get—and Barry would waltz right back in for another four years.

Either the GOP returns to conservative principles and candidates or there certainly could be a third party emergence. I don’t expect a third party but it will happen if the GOP denies its base.

As for governing, even the MSM acknowledges the power the tea party backed new GOP Republicans have today. In 2012 that will grow as it will from then on.

The Republican Party came from Whigs who failed to address the issue of slavery by attracting people from both the Whig and Democrat Parties. The GOP has a choice to make, either today or in the future. Depending on which side Republicans choose, so goes the party. Democrats are already toast because the progressives have control of that party. Disgruntled Democrats will move to tea party supported candidates just as they did in electing President Lincoln.

Sure, I could be wrong but that’s how I see it unfolding today.

If you listen to every Tea party patriot spokesman I have ever heard they are anything but third party. They realize we all lose if they go there. The Republican party has a number of spankings ahead of them before we take over the Presidency in 2012. They just have to man-up a little.

JMHO, the entire regime is a house of cards.

Along with the media that’s been pimping their act.

Consider just the number of states involved in the court case to sh**can Obamacare, add the Nullification moves by state legislatures against other noxious fed bureaucracies and acts and top that with places and people like Tea Party, FR, etc.....

The tsunami everybody was talking about in November may begin to look like diddly squat compared to the wave I’m thinking is just about to hit.

...and I think those characters in the regime are sensing the same thing....

Got up early and thought that I saw a blurb on Drudge about government employee furloughs possibly affecting disbursement of SS checks, but went back after I’d had another cup of coffee to check sources and the rest of due diligence to find....absolutely zip. Nothing on Drudge. Nothing on Google. Nothing anywhere.

Either I shouldn’t bother looking at the ‘Net anymore until I’ve got at least two cups of coffee down and I’m running on all cylinders, or somebody somewhere thought they’d fired that little rocket at the wrong time, so they made it all go away.

“May you live in Interesting Times”, indeed.
