CBS Los Angeles reporter Serene Branson has reportedly been taken to hospital for tests after stumbling incomprehensibly over her words during a Grammy's broadcast.
After being introduced from the studio, Branson began "Well a very, very...", before mispronouncing "heavily". Trying again, she was still unable to get the word out and continued with a train of unintelligible sounds.
It is feared that she may have suffered a stroke on air.

WOW no way.I know who she is, she is very young..WOW hope she is Ok..I did not see the report last night since the grammys here ended around 11:30, went straight to bed after wards
I heard one of the local AM radio personalities mocking this lady today, and when I heard the tape for the first time I was shocked that anyone would think this was anything but a severe medical episode of some sort.
Prayers for her speedy diagnosis and a successful recovery.
When the camera went from her to the anchors, there was someone laughing, hysterically.
Why would anyone want to watch such a thing?
Glad you posted that. I thought I read an hour or two ago that she was NOT taken to the hospital. Wow, I hope she made the correct decision. I’ve read TIAs can have immediate but temporary affects and the person can return to normal quickly. Massive stokes can occur a few days later. She should have been checked out.
Is there any drug that can do the same to a person besides salvia? Not that I think she was on drugs, but why not go to the hospital?
Wow.
I pray she recovers well.
It reminded me of the Jessica Savitch newsbreak where she was just incoherent. But she was totally high at the time.
Anyone that can mock this woman’s obvious medical crisis are just disgusting individuals. I just saw the video, that looked downright scary. If she did have a transient ischemic attack she needs to be seen by a doctor right away, because it could be a precursor to a stroke.
There was a story a few days ago about diet sodas being linked to strokes for younger people.
A simple explanation: the camera was rolling the tape bakwards!
People should know the symptoms in case it happens to someone close.
yep...there but for the Grace of God goes any one of us.
There, indeed, but for the Grace of God!
Three months ago that was me, when while conducting a church service I began stumbling, only barely recognized where I was, and could not for the life of me remember what I had just been doing for the last hour. What followed was the most frustrating and scary few hours of my life, as I gradually regained control.
Pray for Serene.
That’s a CVA.
I remember when Gerald Ford was giving a speech and something was obviously wrong, enough so that I almost called the station. Sure enough, two days later it was reported that he had a stroke.
Not funny you effing ahole
“I have had two of these events..”
I am so happy that you are feeling better. I think to lose a body function that suddenly must be overwhelmingly frightening.
