Berlusconi, always considered the first of EUrotopia's conservative shift, has been sued/prosecuted since he was elected. There have always been accusations from the opposition. None have stuck.
In France, the president can't be sued or prosecuted until he leaves office. Italy has tried to pass similar legislation but has always come up just short.
