Bank of America website exposes customer accounts, data
Jalopnik ^ | 2/12/2011 | Ray Wert

Bank of America's account websites are experiencing an unprecedented online security breach and the bank hasn't fully rectified the problem. That's right, your online financial data and full account access may be in the hands of someone else.

I know this has nothing to do with cars, but I thought it was important enough to write up anyway because I'm sure many Jalopnik readers have money with Bank of America.

Supposedly it is fixed now but if you have an account someone else may now have your information.

Perhaps the breach was from the inside. Most banks today have outsourced their software development to India and the far east.

Americans have learned nothing about sovereignty over the past 50 years.

If I remember correctly, Bank of America deliberately made loans to illegal aliens, then was one of the first banks to get bailed out by the government. I’m glad I don’t do business with them.

My relatives had bogus charges on their BoA account last month. People better be checking closely their statements.

I had several hundred dollars of bogus charges to a credit card three days after using it online at the real HP computer site. The LE has traced the charges back to the HP location area. So, yeah, you can't trust anyone with your information. Check your statements and bills for everything now days.

They (BoA) had charges on my “no additional charges” account.
I went in a spoke to a very nice young lady, and in
a few clicks and entries the charges where gone.

If I hadn’t, the charges would go on for ever. AOL did the
same thing to me several years ago. They finally credited
my account too, but only after I alerted them... sick of that crap.

Good advice I always check all my statements. BOA is a scummy bank anyway Jamie Dimon is a huge obama supporter goes way back to Chicago, they are the one’s making lots of money off of food stamps lol kind of goes hand in hand and they are among the big global banks doing Sharia banking. Oh and they wrongfully foreclosed on our service members to boot.

Bank of America just informed me that they are assessing an annual fee to my credit card. The reason they gave was poor credit. This is totally ridiculous as I owe nothing. Nothing.

I pay my credit card off every month. I think that’s what they’re annoyed at ... they don’t get any interest from me.

I don’t mind paying the fee ... it’s small and worth it for the convenience of the card, but why are they lying about the reason?

There was an article posted at FreeRepublic a few days ago that dealt with announcements of impending fees and fee increases fro bank customers, thank you dhimmicrats. I’ll see if I can find it.

According tot he article it looks like most banks are affected, most credit unions won’t be playing, and credit card accounts will be hit as well.

Cancel that card ASAP. There are plenty of CC’s out there with no annual fee.

BOA = filthy whores.

I had my mortgage with CountryWide who got bought out by BOA...from bad to worse. I had no choice in the matter.

I truly HATE BOA. I'd rather bank with “Uncle Paulie” or Pablo Escobar (yes, I know he's dead).

They tried that with me. I said, "What a pity, I have been a cardholder so long. Where would you like me to send the peices after I run the card through the shredder?"

No annual fee.

You aren't their slave. You have options.

We got stuck with BOA when they bought out our mortgage from BT&T while ago. I have a credit card with BOA also but will get rid of it this year.

BOA is scummy as is Jamie Dimon. Jamie doesn’t have anything to do with BOA. He’s been at JPMorganChase for quite a while.

Actually in the world of credit, if you owe nothing then you have poor credit. It is ridiculous I know but their reasoning is that if you don’t use credit, you therefore have no credit rating.

This is nothing new. In the 1970’s I wanted to apply for a small mortgage to buy a condominium. I had no credit cards, paid my bills on time, and had plenty of monthly income to support loan payments on a mortgage. I was told that I didn’t qualify because I had a poor credit rating because I had no credit card or loan balances. I was told that in order to qualify for a mortgage I would have to first go out and apply for credit cards and use those that were approved, and not pay them off every month, instead making the minimum payments on the cards. I was told that after two years of this I would have established sufficient credit background to qualify for a mortgage. I did this and then was approved for a small mortgage.

Now for a number of years mortgage lenders more or less threw out credit guidelines and made mortgage loans to many who did not qualify, which has resulted in the housing crisis. Because of this many lenders are now going back to the tried and true lending practices to avoid future losses.

It boils down to out in the open, brazen, in your face corruption on a scale “organized crime” could only dream of.

Al Capone looks like a candidate for sainthood compared to this bunch.

Can RICO be applied to community organizers?

Thanks still can’t stand him he’s another scummy one and not only for his donations to obama there’s a laundry list of reasons including the donations to Acorn, Sharia financing, foreclosing of service members involvement with Madoff to name a few. He is an arrogant pig. Thinks it’s amusing that the he is supposedly too big to fail.
