Communication was not the problem in 1940 unfortunately it was the Republicans putting their heads in the sand and refusing to face realities. Those pretending that we can isolate ourselves from foreign affairs and that radical Islamic killers are no danger are just another incarnation of that spirit.
We need to regroup. Acknowledge, and define the enemy. Then destroy it, with extreme prejudice.
Speaking of pretending, prancing around the globe, playing world policeman, is not the answer. Removing one dictator to replace him with another considered more favorable to our interests is not the answer. Purple thumbs, notwithstanding. Since in nations where the majority are muslims, elections or no, it's still, first and foremost, a theocracy. To pretend otherwise is delusional.
It is equally delusional to pretend we can distinguish who is moderate, and who is radical, especially in nations of Islam. Since the muslim once believed friendly, becomes radical when he straps on his/her death vest, or from his apt, fires an rpg into your camp, or plants a roadside bomb,or fires his AK47 at your patrol from a "safe" position.
Many of us know exactly who the enemy is. But our leadership has yet to acknowledge them, at least not publicly. I note you also defined the enemy as "radical Islamic killers". Here's a clue, there is no such thing as a "moderate" muslim. Since so called "moderate" muslims are allowing the so called "radical" muslims to do their bidding. Lying in wait til the time is ripe, to come out of the closet.
I remain convinced once muslims have the necessary numbers within our borders, our decendants will witness the proverbial fecal matter hit the fan. It could be prevented. But it's gonna take leadership willing to do what is absolutely necessary.
Did you know, that even today, hundreds or thousands of visas are being issued to muslims, from known terrorist nations, to enter America? Who here, besides me, sees the insanity of this?
