I never had any expectations for Obama, but there’s no one in his Administration that is competent, grown up or fully pro-US. I don’t think the US has ever been in this position before.
+1 to this, unfortunately. There are no serious adults within the top level of this Admin -
With that said, as for Mubarak comments, I would contend his attitude has much more to do with the losing of power much more than his concern over quasi-democracy spreading throughout the ME. Democracy doesn't always seem so great to those whom think power is inherit to certain people only.
No question, we are in serious times here, with serious ramifications. Our problem is we don't have a serious POTUS/CinC who puts America / freedom first. I still see what is happening as a possible real plus for the World in the years ahead (would have much more hope, if we had a serious man in the WH, helping to direct this situation more).
