I don't think he even lives (or was living ) in Egypt. Soros has been promoting him for this job since last year. For that reason alone he has no place in this process.

ElBaradei is an Egyptian but hasn't lived there in years. He has returned now to attempt to set himself up as a national leader. I doubt he will live to see it happen. The real power-grabbers will make short work of him when the time comes.
