I was watching it on CSPAN. I felt bad for Rumsfeld.
These Paulers are real fools, they remind me of the John Birchers.

CPAC is done....between the Paulinista's (fruitloops of the first magnitude), sprinkled with rump rangers and dykes, the CPAC will hand the straw poll to Ron Paul, as planned, and we can see that the Tea Party is nowhere to be found in numbers at THIS kinda event.

I was very disappointed that Michelle Bachman wanted anything to do with this sorry-ass bunch.

Watching events out of CPAC this year has been a lot like watching a tractor inner-tube deflate.

Deflated inner-tubes are unable to support much.

And so goes the deflated CPAC...

Ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss...

That is sad, the guy has spent his whole life serving this country. It isn’t like he is running for office or wants to force his views.

He is only sharing his view.

Very disrespectful.

I was a libertarian party supporter thru the 1980s and watched the maggots take over.

The Libertarian party did seminal research on private property and revived that part of our Constitution. Then the white flag surrender moneys, porno freaks, 50 IQ potheads and commies took over.

You will not see the Libertarian party push a private property platform anymore because it’s at loggerheads with the Marxist/fascist libertarian faction.

And for all you pseudo-foot ameba-libertarians here on FR, dial this up on your sniveling Marxist screen:

On 9-11, our private property was attacked. The normal and correct reponse of a real libertarian should be: let’s go kick some arab ass.

But nooooooo.

Here’s the idiot Ron Paul: OH, GAWD!!! What did we do wrong to piss off a bunch of goat-humping sand monkeys. Let’s surrender!!

I’m not pleased that Thomas Jefferson’s liberty party has been taken over by cowards, rats, worms and arab butt sniffing c*cks#ckers.

Go to a dog vet and get yourselves fixed so you don’t reproduce.

Some friends had been telling me I should look at Ron Paul as a serious candidate. I was beginning to do so. But if this behavior by the people who back and promote him is an indication of who he is, to quote a line from Broken Arrow, 'I walk away'. I don't think I'm the only one.

I like Ron Paul, but I don’t understand why anybody would hate on Rumsfeld. After all, he’s limited to implementing his boss’ wishes, which he did flawlessly. As a soldier in the Army, it’s Gates that I can’t stand being subordinate to.

Don’t take the actions of a few to paint a picture of the whole. In that case, we gun owners would have to stand behind the idiots who showed up to political rallies with their assualt rifles strapped to their backs. That’s a trick the lame stream media plays: find the nutcases to paint a false picture of the whole crowd.

“The Constitution” has ceased to mean anything to many conservatives, except as a talisman to wave about in an emotional frenzy in support of some vague, emotionally held ideas about “America,” an “America” which in fact, bears NO RESEMBLANCE to the state described in the document.

I can think of no better illustration of this that CPAC’s decision to give DONALD RUMSFIELD the award of “Defender of the Constitution”

This man is one of the biggest advocates of the growth of the state, in the name of defending our way of life, that we have seen in US history. In view of the fact that the Constitution’s primary objective is to LIMIT the role of the Federal government, this just confirms to me that the “CONSTITUTION” refers not to a document, nor to its teachings/basis for law, but for some patriotic goo of flag waving church going Republican voting folk, whose ignorance is matched only by their self righteous smugness as they, merrily destroy the republic in the name of saving it.

Remember, it is only fascism when the “other guys” do it. We, otoh, believe in God and country and are, by definition, the “good guys.” Right? WE can advocate invading and subjugating any country we wish at any time, keeping our military there as long as we want, ruthless and relentless spying on our own citizens, encouraging more and more taxes to support “foreign aid” that makes a tinpot dictator like Mubarak worth over 40 billion dollars, ruthless seizure of moneys until people can “prove” it is not drug tainted.......,, we can do all this because WE are the good guys. Yeah, that is the ticket.

When challenged, we just turn up the volume on Sean Hannity and splutter some nonsense about how it would work if it wasn’t for those “liberals” who gunk up the works and corrupt everything. Either that, or we wave terrifying images of sharia law and a worldwide caliphate and insist that invading every damned country on the planet and removing every freedom men died for is the only alternative to this.

This bag of sh*t is what “conservatism” has become? No thank you. I prefer the older, wiser sort, where folks KNEW WHAT THE CONSTITUTION SAID and actually supported a hamstrung, small, ineffective federal government, a military so focused on DEFENSE ONLY that it is illegal for a defense appropriation bill to last more than two years, so that states had their own militias for defense, and there were no alphabet agencies of any sort, be they the social meddling EPA/HUD/DEA etc to the “security” monster which simply grows and grows. Idiot “conservatives” today think they can feed one head of a two headed beast and the monster will starve.

One thing is good about all this, though. The imbeciles have BANKRUPTED the country so that this idiocy is going to have to stop soon simply because there ain’t no more money. Thanks alot, Dick “deficits don’t matter” Cheney, and Don Rumsfield. “Defender of the Constituion!” Hoo rah. Makes me just wanna go out and sing the star spangled banner, it does!
