Think of it as a way of avoiding thread real estate blight. Who wants to see billboards everywhere?

Bristol isn’t anywhere close to the same league as Kyl....unless you consider DWtS some sort of political leg up. She is unfortunately on the same level as Bridget Mc.........I can’t believe I am even responding to this nonsense................

Giffords husband
That is not necessarily a bad thing. He is a Navy Officer and Astronaut. His wife is one of those blue dogs so her husband might even be republican.

EXACTLY !! Preaching to the choir on FR I am afraid.. but there are a few on here that do need to hear that again :)

If Brewer wants to run, the GOP should clear the field for her.
Timing does not work for her. She cannot leave the job until 2014....his seat is up in 2012.

Wow. It seems like you are bitter. What is wrong? You seem very unhappy here.

I am not saying this necessarily about these three, but OVERALL I bet the Senate and House folks are thinking, dang the end of the gravy train is here. No more slush funds, high paying parties, etc. Now I seriously have to live on 137,000 $174,000 dollars a year. Oh and there is not enough money to take back to my constituents for their pet projects. What fun is it being in the Senate or House now.

Back in 2007 Kyl voted FOR comprehensive immigration reform. A black mark on an otherwise solid conservative record.

I don’t understand how her husband got such bum rap here. I saw a segment about them on CNN from several years ago and he clearly stated back then he isn’t a Democrat and he doesn’t see eye to eye with his wife about all things political.

Since it is 100% his site, we are lucky he lets us share it. All he asks in return is that we follow his rules. Not a bad deal if you ask me. I agree. All I'm saying is there was a time when a free discussion of ideas was the norm. That no longer exists.
As I see it, there has been a conscious decision to limit that scenario. Jim has even written threads to that effect.
I'm not saying it's good or bad but there certainly has been a change and people who might offer a different opinion on certain subjects are not welcome here.

Senator Kyl - maybe a Conservative on many issues... but I have a memory and Senator Kyl had to be ROPED in on the illegal immigration issue back in 2006/07 ... Kly had to be practically threatened (and actually was I believe) before he would stop carrying the water FOR Amnesty. He became a bit ‘born again’ after that FORCED backing down ... All in all he is a good man - but Kyl was way too easily swayed to support Amnesty for 20 million illegal aliens by the Republican Elites including GW Bush.
I am surprised that so many FR posters on this thread cannot seem to recall the absolute uproar Kyl caused back then ...

Not even near the age to be allowed.

It's easy to understand, once you remember that attacking is easier than thinking.
