Homosexuals intends to change the moral fabric of America. That will affect every faze of American life. Whether you have kids or grandkids, who wants them exposed to that?

Look. We both know that by the time your grandkids are your age, the "gay issue" will no longer even exist. Just like when you were a kid, there were plenty of gay people in your neighborhood, in your school, at your workplace, in your church. The difference now is that they are less afraid of people like you who harbor some hatred for them and they come "out."

And you're right, each successive generation is becoming more tolerant of gay people. That may drive you over the edge, but it's empiracally true. So, that begs the question... What happens next?

Here's what happens: Nothing that will affect people like you and me. Remember back in the 50's and 60's how there were all those black activists and angry black guys and black power this and black power that? Black people had to be loud and boisterous and perhaps threatening to get what they felt were their equal rights.

As gay people become more accepted, whether you like it or not, and achieve equal footing with you and me, they'll sort of blend in to the cultural landscape. My grandkids will have friends with gay dads. They won't even know why that's weird. It's repulsive to you, weird to me, and will be accepted in 40 years.

Is that right? Your values say no. Mine say It may not be "right," but who am I to stop it?
