This happens because we allow it. This is the same attitude that causes the Republicans in Congress to cow under pressure from the Dems. If they get in our face, we need to get back in theirs. Refuse to be shouted down. Have faith in conservative principles that well-meaning, reasonable people will be swayed by them when presented. Of course, we know brain-addled libs won't be, but that doesn't mean we should run from confronting them with the facts. We never know who is listening.

Yes. And the owner of this site thinks so too. So do most posters. They know that because to have a "Big Tent" one must accept so much baggage that core values become polluted or discarded. Do you LIKE the Rinos we've had? McCain? Graham? Snowe? Lazio? Mike Castle? That's what a "Big Tent" gets you along with abortion, amnesty, bailouts and takeovers, higher taxes, homosexual marriage (Ken Mehlman).....everything you'd get with Democrats.
This is a CONSERVATIVE site. NOT Republican. It's time to stop "settling" for anyone with an "R" behind their name. Either we have core values and beliefs or we don't.

Anyway, I must clarify/apologize, as I think we actually might agree. Yes, this is a conservative site, not a Republican site. many in the GOP are RINOs. Some of them were RINO’s in hiding for a while (as some were heartily endorsed on FR in the past). But what’s a RINO? Sadly, RINO is becoming just R.
And the CPAC should be separate from the GOP. I’m with you on that. The CPAC should be “conservative.” But you, Dearest DJ MacWoW, don’t define Conservative. I happen to attach more weight on Fiscal conservatism and military protectionism than I do on social issues. Sorry if that makes me not cool enough to be in your tent, but really, while I’m working on issues that I believe affect every one of us (jobs, economies, taxes, things like that), you can spend your energy on rounding up the gays, gay sympathizers, gay sympathizer sympathizers, gay sympathizer sympathizer sympathizers, people with gay friends, people with gay people in their families, neighbors of gay people, people who know gay people, people still use “gay” as a synonym for happy, the Flintstones (for having a gay ol’ time), Women of a certain age named Gaye, all those who own Marvin Gaye albums, and anyone else on your list I’ve forgotten.
