It's not about assaulting anyone. Jackson Lee is offended that the black man in the ad finds the white woman attractive.

Jackson Lee is offended that the black man in the ad finds the white woman attractive. This is certainly a big part of it. Another part is that the black woman so plainly gives the black man good reason to prefer the white woman.

You are correct, sir... and that's what makes Sheila Jackson Lee's outrage all the more unfortunate: Even on the rare occasions when she's ostensibly right, she's substantively wrong. She simply can't loosen her grip on her own hatred long enough to lodge a cogent criticism. It reminds me of Sister Soulja offering "If black people kill black people every day, why not have a week and kill white people?"
